Do not rush when you just started learning practice typing. Practice daily and your fingers will learn their location on the keyboard through muscle memory. If you follow the steps in this article, over time you will become a better typist, able even to correct errors while looking at the screen instead of the keyboard.

1. Using all your fingers.

Relearn the correct finger placement on the keyboard.

I heard some people said that: “I type with only 2 or 3 fingers get 80-100 WPM on online tests. Is it worth to re-learning 10 finger typing?”
That’s impressive. Faster than many 10 finger typists. But can you type without seeing the keyboard? If you make a mistake and look down the keyboard, you lose your attention from what you are thinking. That’s why you need to fix your hands on the home row.

Place your fingers in the “home” position.
